Stacey Housley

Returning to NZ in September 2010. Stacey (25) has been playing for Boise State University in the US on a full scholarship to a Div 1 top 30 tennis program. She helped her team to Championship conference matches and into the NCAA tournament. She held team records for most wins with only losing 3 matches her Junior year and 2 in her Senior year. She graduated with a Degree in Exercise Science and went on to work as a certified personal trainer in a top Studio in the US and as a Manager for a fitness equipment store. After being in the states for 6 years she made a stop in Hong Kong working as a Tennis Professional at a private club for 10 months before finally returning home to pursue a career in business. As a junior she played for both North Harbour and Auckland before settling with North Harbour, winning numerous junior and super series tournaments. The last time she played in New Zealand was back in 2007.

Christine Foote
Wonderful to have Christine return for her second year at Mission Bay.  Last year Christine was runner up in the 16U Singles Nationals, she has impressive talent to burn.  Last year Christine also played in the NZ junior team in the Oceania Closed Champs in Fiji after the previous year winning the 14U Singles National Hard-court and 16U Doubles National Hard-court titles.

Dana Gray
Recently turning 18 it’s great to have Dana return for her second season with Mission Bay.  Dana driving each week from Rotorua is another of our young players with an impressive junior record.  Last year she was the 16U National Champion and 16U National Doubles Runner Up. Dana also represented the NZ junior team in the Oceania Closed Champs in Fiji.

Captain - Wendy Owen
Is it great to have Wendy return for her second year this time in the key role as team captain.  Wendy grew up in Whangarei and was a top NZ junior travelling to Auckland each week for Chelsea Cup between the ages of 15 to 18 before getting a full playing scholarship at the University of Hawaii.  Now 27 Wendy is a key mentor for our younger players. Wendy is also about to complete her final exams in her Podiatry course.
