KEVIN WRIGHT - PROFILE

Mission Bay Tennis has secured the services of one of Auckland's most respected and experienced tennis coaches to that up the role of Resident Professional at Mission Bay.

Kevin Wright's name has been synonymous with Tennis and Squash coaching in the Auckland area for over 20years, and we are delighted to have attracted someone of Kevin's calibre.

Kevin will pick up the overall responsibility for the coaching and development programme at Mission Bay, and will enhance the existing services with additional coaching resourses and the establishment to a Professional Shop based at Mission Bay. With an excellent team of coaches, all of whom are also accredited, Kevin will be launching comprehensive coaching programmes embracing seniors and juniors over all levels from beginners to competitive players.

Kevin ironically commenced his tennis coaching career at Mission Bay in the 1980's. He fondly remembers Mission Bay Tennis Club and is keen to get involved again.

Kevin brings a wealth of experience with him, both on and off court. He has been coaching on a full time basis for over 20 years and has developed an excellent reputation as a tennis professional. He is NZPTCA Accredited and a former President of the NZ Professional Coaches Association.

Kevin will utilise the abilities of Andrew Pegg, who has been with Mission Bay for many years and plans to continue with his involvement in Saturday junior coaching. Additionally Kevin brings Geoff Beech to Mission Bay to compliment the coaching team.

As can bee seen, Mission Bay is taking the coaching programme to a new level in response to feedback from members who sought more services, and our desire to ensure that there is a strong development programme for talented juniors witin the club.
